During the school holidays, the U10 Vipers team participated in the second annual New Zealand Junior Rugby Festival in Taupo.  The tournament focuses on club rugby instead of rep teams giving more players the opportunity for an end of year tour.   The atmosphere was fantastic both on and off the field.

The competition was tough as there were some very good teams from around New Zealand at the festival.

The Vipers made it through the pool play and faced a strong Kia Toa team from Palmerston North in the semi-finals winning that game 35-5.  They then went on to face the undefeated Ponsonby club in the final having to come from behind to win 35-25.

Congratulations to the Vipers for becoming the 2011 U10 Champions.
