Jaguars vs Wests Sharks
Outside game cancelled. Our 2nd game against the Sharks in recent weeks. Again we did not play to our potential. However there were times when the Jaguars were on fire and unstoppable. Ben (Player of the Day) for his courageous dive bombing tries and great defence. |

Jaguars v Poneke Stingers
A disappointing 1st half by the Jaguars. However, the 2nd half saw the Jaguars fine the spark to launch some effective attacks and score some great tries. The Jaguars are missing Eilis and her leadership. Sam (Player of the Day) scored some outstanding tries and was great in defence.

Jaguars v Sharks
Although playing one short in the first half, the Jaguars were clearly a bit tired as they did not explode into the game as they usually do. A better second half performance (after much needed moro bars) with Felix (Player of the Day) making some determined runs and scoring a couple of very good tries.

Jaguars vs Wests Lions
The Big Cats came out to play and so it proved with a fast paced and skilful game played by both sides on a muddy Ian Galloway park. Both sides were prepared to run the ball all day. Eilis (who we will miss for the next few weeks) made this game her own with a truckload of tries (and so was Player of the Day) but she was very well supported by her Jaguar teammates who made all these tries possible. Eilis was also appointed Captain prior to this game and will resume this roll when she returns.

Jaguars vs Wests Tigers (indoor game)
The Jaguars were grateful that the Tigers (who had just played the Wolves) played us after the outside games were cancelled. This game helped the Jaguars sharpen their attack and defence skills with some rampaging runs, tries and ripping (from both sides). Thoma had an outstanding game and so was Player of the Day.

Jaguars vs Newlands Ninjas
Although the weather was miserable and cold there were plenty of tries scored by each side with lots of advantage played to make this an entertaining and action packed game. Haris stood out as Player of the Day with great attacking and defensive skills.

Jaguars vs Johnsonville Titans
A fast paced game where the Jaguars were able to show some excellent passing skills. The Jaguars played 2 short and so were pushed to the limit on defence but Eilis and Thoma scored some great tries. Sam showed his outstanding running skills and was rewarded with the Player of the Day.

Jaguars vs Ories Magpies
By all accounts a dreadful day in Wellington (the coach was in sunny Napier!). With some players falling ill on the day to make matters worse for stand in coach Shane (thanks Shane). Playing with only 6 the outnumbered Jaguars put on a classy performance with Jahwai as Player of the Day making some telling runs. |
|
Jaguars vs Wolves
An entertaining and non-stop fast game with both sides throwing caution to the wind. The Wolves were on the hunt from the 1st whistle but the Jaguars put in a couple of good bites of their own. The Jaguars played with determination and commitment and all should be proud of themselves. Eilis (player of the day) scored an outstanding length of the field try and put in an overall star performance.
